## Dip to litres

Choose your tank, type the dip in cm or mm, and see the litres and the space left.

- BPCL, IOCL and HPCL models from 8.4 KL to 70 KL
- Two tanks of one size can differ, so you pick the model
- Send the chart of a tank not on the list

## Density at 15 °C

Type the hydrometer reading and the temperature. The answer comes from ASTM D1250 Table 53B.

- The same table for every oil company
- Petrol and diesel
- Ready for the density register

## Every reading kept

Each dip and density reading stays on your phone with its date and time.

- Share a day, week or month as PDF
- Or as a spreadsheet that opens in Excel
- Send it on WhatsApp or by email

## More

- **Your tanks:** Add each tank once with its company and model. Petrol is green and diesel is blue, everywhere.
- **Send a chart:** Tank not on the list? Send a photo or PDF of its chart. It comes back as a tank in the app.
- **Tanker order:** Type the litres and the rate of each fuel. The total fills itself; an empty rate takes the last one.
- **Connect BPCL:** BPCL dealers can sign in with their own login to see today’s sale, tank litres and the newest fills.
- **Matches the chart:** Each tank model is held to its company’s printed chart, within a litre or two.
- **Private:** Tanks and readings stay on your phone. No ads, no tracking.

## Questions

### Is the app free?

Yes. Dip Density Calculator is free on Google Play, with no ads and no account. The calculators on this site are free too.

### Which tanks does it know?

15+ models from BPCL (8.4 to 70 KL), HPCL (9 to 35 KL) and IOCL (15 and 20 KL). If your tank is not there, send its chart from the app and we add it.

### How does it work out the litres?

An underground tank is a horizontal cylinder with flat ends. The litres at a dip come from its inside diameter and length. IOCL prints a deadwood figure on its charts, which is taken off. The results match the companies’ printed charts within a litre or two.

### Which density table does it use?

ASTM D1250-80 Table 53B, the table the Marketing Discipline Guidelines name. It is the same for IOCL, BPCL, HPCL and private companies.

### Is it made by an oil company?

No. The app is independent and not linked to BPCL, IOCL, HPCL or any oil company. Your certified calibration chart and approved instruments always prevail.

### Does it work without internet?

Yes. Dip, density and your readings all work offline. The internet is only needed to send a chart or to connect to BPCL.
